I planted Kurapia ground cover in a portion of our backyard and for a month or two it grew without issues (albeit slowly, compared to grass). However, about two months after it was well established, the Kurapia completely died off except for a few plants along the fringes of the planting zone. After spending a fair amount of money and time on my Kurapia project, I can't recommend this particular ground cover. Kurapia establishes itself much less quickly than grass, and apparently isn't as hardy (in my experience) as grass tends to be.
