Rara Lake: The Lake (also called Mahendra Daha) is located in Karnali Province, Jumla and Mugu District and is the biggest lake in Nepal with a length of 8 km, breadth of 1.5 km and depth of 167 m. It lies about 3200m above sea level with total area of 10.4 square kilometres (4.0 sq mi). This lake reflects the shadow of Sisne and Kanj irowa mountains.
Rara Lake
She-Phoksundo Lake: This lake is located in Dolpa District of Karnali Province in the lap of Kanjirowa mountain. This lake is deepest lake of Nepal stands at 3900 m above sea level. It is 4.8 km long, 1.5 km wide and has a depth of 145 m. This lake is named "Rigmo" locally. Anil Gaire said "How is 145m depth of shey phoksundo deepest than the rara having depth 167m.
Fewa Lake: This lake is located in Pokhara, Kaski District of Gandaki Province and is a very important lake for tourism. This is the 2nd biggest lake in Nepal and is 4.8 km long, 1 km wide and has a total area of 4 km2. This lake reflects the shadow of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna Mountains.
Tilicho Lake: This is the highest lake in Nepal standing at 4919 m from mean sea level. It is located in Manang District of Gandaki Province. Its length is 4 km and breadth is 1.4 km. This lake was previously thought to be the highest in the world, but has since been surpassed.
Indra Sarowar: This is an artificial lake constructed for the hydropower reservoir of Kulekhani Hydropower Project is the Memory of Her Majesty's Princess Indra Rajya Laxmi Devi Shah. It is located in Makwanpur district with an Area of 7 km2.
