On June 23, UK voters will decide whether to leave the European Union (EU). The vote comes as the EU faces lackluster economic performance, a mismanaged influx of asylum seekers from the Middle East and North Africa, and rising political extremism.

In “Towards an Imperfect Union: A Conservative Case for the EU” (Rowman & Littlefield, May 2016), AEI’s Dalibor Rohac argues that conservatives and free-market advocates must rescue the EU instead of cheering for its demise. Join AEI for a discussion of the new book and a debate over the risks of Europe’s political disintegration.
