A long-running trade spat between Kenya and Tanzania remains unresolved. This comes just days after Foreign Affairs ministers from both countries signed a pact that was meant to end import restrictions between the two. However, Kenya's Association of Manufacturers says Tanzania has maintained a number of those restrictions, making it hard for Kenyan products to access its market. Traders who set out to test the effectiveness of the truce found some of the restrictions still intact, prompting skepticism that Tanzania has upheld its side of the bargain.
