Sweatshirts are a great wardrobe staple and whoever you are, however glamorous your life may be, there is always room for a cosy, comfy sweatshirt! Plus they are very easy to sew. Generally the patterns are very simple and sweatshirt or French Terry fabric is very easy to work with too. If you're new to sewing knit and jersey fabrics or if you're an experienced sewer who wants a quick, cosy update to their handmade wardrobe sweatshirts are a great sewing project. As always I've linked everything below including some handy tutorial videos.
I've made three of the patterns included and I've included four that are on my wishlist. There are some lovely unique design details and ideas on these patterns and some of them have as many as four views or 27 sizes and other garments included maximising your value for money too.
I've included our new sweatshirt, French terry and ponte fabrics. The French terry and sweatshirt fabrics are so silky soft against the skin and are all Okeo Tex certified. The French terry has a loop back and the softest finish, like a winceyette. The sweatshirt fabrics are also so soft and cosy. The ponte is an ex designer deadstock.
It's time to cosy up, stroke the soft fabrics and whip up a sweatshirt that feels like a hug every time you put it on!
