Dr Keshavjee is the newly appointed chief of innovation at UHN (university health network) which has been named as one of the top 4 hospitals in the world by newsweek. Dr Keshavjee invented ex vivo lung perfusion that allows surgeons to operate on lungs outside the body. He invented low pottasium dextran lung preservation solution which is used to preserve lungs for transplant around the world. He has also pioneered the use of drones to deliver organs for transplants.
