We tried placing the lash strip directly on a client’s forehead and here’s what we found out. The skins natural oils started getting on the lash extensions. After some time the extensions on the strip started to almost stick together and had a more glossy appearance.
This is definitely more noticeable on clients work oily skin. Having oils on the lash extensions can cause issues with the glue bond and poor retention which is a lash artists nightmare!
Placing the strip on the forehead does work for some people but If you do want to place the strip on the clients forehead we do recommend you have something in between the strip and the clients skin.
This will provide a barrier for the skins natural oils and keep those lash extensions lasting nice and long for you clients! Hand lash tiles are my personal favourite way to organize my lashes without having to reach for them all the time!
