From Professor Burbach: The presentation “Space and National Security” will survey how the use of outer space has factored into U.S. national security from the days of Sputnik to our emerging era of great power competition. The presentation will describe how space matters not only to the U.S. military but is a part of our everyday lives. The talk will address potential threats and possible responses for American space power, including the role that space has played in the Ukraine-Russia war.
