Saving money when and where you can is important in this hobby. Here I show you my DIY recipes for an airbrush cleaning solution and an acrylic paint thinner. All you need is distilled water, IPA, window cleaner and glycerin in measured amounts plus a couple of plastic dispensers. I’ll walk you through it. I make mine in 250 ml batches and the basic supplies which cost approximately €10.00 will serve me for years!

1 litre of commercial airbrush cleaner = €75.20
1 litre of DIY airbrush cleaner = €4.00

1 litre of commercial acrylic paint thinner = €69.75
1 litre of DIY acrylic paint thinner = €3.50

FYI: I don't collect, display or sell the cars. All of the Maple Leaf Customs finished projects that are kid-friendly are put in custom blister packs and go to my local Goodwill store where they are given to children for free. If there are parts that can be swallowed, those cars are given as gifts to adult collectors that are fellow enthusiasts.
