F40PH-2 #138, the 'Village of Lombard', leads a 9-car edition of outbound express train #41 on the UP-West Line at Oak Park, seen from the Clinton Avenue end of the Oak Park Metra station, with the hazy Chicago skyline in the background, about 8 miles away. Three CTA Green Line 'L' stops are also visible from here! Train 41 is technically the second outbound train of the rush on this line, and runs express out of Ogilvie Transportation Center (Northwestern Station) downtown, not stopping until Elmhurst, and making all stops thereafter to Elburn. Almost immediately following train 41 is train 43 (not seen here) which is a short-turn at Elmhurst and makes all the station stops that 41 skips. The intermediate signals here are sideways- one of the CNW's leftover quirks. Also notice the second car in the train, coach 7836, is a refurbished, ex-CNW Pullman bilevel.
