New Forest Route is a UK, freeware, work in progress route for the free train simulator " Open Rails".
The Route runs from Basingstoke to Weymouth through the New Forest. it is set in the late 1950s. Timetable Mode simulates the complete network of trains , but in this video the focus is on operations at Eastleigh, Uk. We see 1 hour of real time, but for convenience, gaps between trains are removed.
The timetable is compiled from authentic historical British Railways documents. All trains are active and follow their duty cycle from one activity train to the next. The timetable viewer scene shows that trains are active through out the route beyond our focus at Eastleigh.
Unfortunately there is some frame rate stuttering due to Fraps, and not present in game.
