Madeline Soto was just 13 years old when she was reported missing on Monday, February 26, 2024. Her body was found days later in a bamboo tree grove 22 miles from home. The boyfriend of Maddie's mother, Stephan Sterns, was eventually arrested and charged with both SAing Maddie for years and for doing her in.
Jenn Soto was interviewed several times, including on March 1, 2024, before she was told Maddie's body had been found.
In today's video, I share audio from that March 1 interview, along with my commentary. I've repeated what Jenn and the detectives said when the audio quality made it hard to decipher. I've also removed long pauses when I felt they were not telling us something about Jenn in terms of her trying to "come up with an answer." I removed the pauses that, to me, are just pauses that don't add anything to the narrative. I hope that makes sense.
