On the occasion of the Jan Jaatiya Gaurav Saptaah being celebrated in Madhya Pradesh, District Administration Katni organised a Dastangoi event, to launch Rani Durgavati’s story in M.P.
This event was a part of other events being held in #Katni during the duration of its Stone Art Festival, #ADHARSHILA (9 - 28 November, 2021).
Qissagos, #HimanshuBajpai and #PragyaSharma, presented their composition elaborating the story of Rani Durgavati’s supreme valour and sacrifice in an august gathering in Katni.
This event was live streamed on the day and was watched in good numbers by people all over Madhya Pradesh and India.
#ADHARSHILA is a stone art fest that District Collector, Priyank Mishra (IAS - 2013 batch) visualised as a festival that would not only put Katni on the world map but would also go to showcase Katni’s prized marble and sandstone to the world.
#KatniStone is the district’s chosen product under the Government of India’s #OneDistrictOneProduct #ODOP scheme.
We hope that this idea of making space for a studio for artists where they may come and work on Katni Stone will present more opportunities to the District for the usage of its stone in the world market.
