In this week's video, we head to Sunset Point in Capitol Reef National Park. This a favorite location for sunset. There is a short but scenic trail to the viewpoint (0.8 miles out-and-back) with only a moderate elevation change. At the viewpoint, there are multiple different compositions, most of them highlight the beautiful geology of the area. We try to arrive just before golden hour starts to enjoy the way the light plays off the canyon and the distant peaks. On this particular visit, there are quite a lot of clouds in the sky and we get a brief view of a rainbow near Capitol Dome. The clouds give the sky a dark appearance during our sunset. We hope you enjoy the photos from this location.
