Two arrested after man stabbed in Whitefield
Two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in a street in Bury Saturday Morning (November 20).
Officers were called to Mersey Drive in Whitefield at around 7am following reports of a stabbing.
Emergency services attended the scene and a man was taken to hospital.
His injuries are not thought to be serious or life-threatening.
A 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman have both been arrested on suspicion of assault.
Police say the incident is believed to be isolated at this time.
A large police presence including CSI units was reported in the area as officers carried out their enquiries.
