It consists of small teams of highly trained SSG commandos. They are trained in Guerilla warfare, jungle warfare and small team concepts to inflict maximum damage on the Indian soldiers.They can be used for laying ambushes in Indian territory that can lead to beheadings and other casualties. BAT teams have snipers in them and can be used for attacking Artillery positions in India. BAT was created to give plausible deniability to the Pakistani Army while being able to dominate the LoC and impact the morale of the Indian troops present on the LoC.
