[00:00:00] I am family planning and will likely be on maternity leave sometime in 2023. I've been at my current firm for two years. Okay, good. There are things I like and things I don't. Should I stay until after my maternity leave before planning to leave?
Yes. You should only leave when you take maternity leave. So I would stay whatever you're planning on having kids. I would only leave then. I wouldn't leave before then I think it would be bad to go someplace and then leave, 2023 is a ways away.
You certainly could leave now. But it's gonna look a lot better if you stay at your current firm and you've been there for four years and then you leave later, you'll be better off. When you do take leave, you'll have the option of coming back to that firm and you'll have a long history there.
So that's how I'd recommend doing that.
