The Salvation Army in Ilford, East London was granted permission by the town council to begin Project Malachi. This radical new approach to tackling homelessness will use converted shipping containers to offer much needed accommodation to people experiencing homelessness. The new “pop-up” hostel will also incorporate an integrated bicycle refurbishment social enterprise.
