This demonstration will briefly show you around the online form for registering a Certificate of Judgment or Order in a NSW Court.
This form can be filed online via the NSW Online Registry:
www.onlineregistry.lawlink.nsw.gov.au
This form (UCPR form 45) is used to register a judgment or order of an Australian court, tribunal, or cost assessor, in the NSW Local Court, District Court or Supreme Court. After you register the certificate from the other court, tribunal or cost assessor, the judgment or order can be enforced in the NSW court in which the certificate was registered.
For example, if the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal orders that a respondent (defendant) has to pay you a sum of $20,000, this order can be registered in the NSW Local Court. You can then apply to the Local Court to have this order enforced.
If you require additional legal support, please contact Law Access NSW or see information about registering a Certificate of Judgment or Order on the Law Assist website (www.lawassist.lawaccess.nsw.gov.au)
You can file a variety of other forms online via the NSW Online Registry website for the:
