Hey family!! In today's video we're getting back to some home cooking after a fun Spring break weekend! Eating at restaurants and campouts is fun, but there's nothing like good ol' home cooking!
Salisbury Steaks:

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak Recipe:
NOTE: I doubled this recipe for us, this is the original. It makes 4 salisbury steaks. 😉
Ingredients
1 lb. Lean Ground Beef
1/2 cup Bread Crumbs (seasoned)
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Pepper
1 Egg
Small Onion diced (about 1 cup (Optional))
1 - 14 oz Can Beef Broth (or half a carton)
1 – 4oz Can Sliced Mushrooms (Drained)
2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
2 Tbsp. Water
1 Packet Brown Gravy Mix or 1 – Jar/Can Brown Gravy
Mix First 5 ingredients together and shape into patties about ¾ inches thick.
Cook patties in a skillet turning once until brown.
Remove from Skillet and place in crockpot or casserole dish.
Add onion mushroom and beef broth; heat to boiling.
Mix water and cornstarch together to make a paste.
Add to boiling mixture with a wire whisk and whisk until gravy begins to thicken.
Add a packet of Mushroom or Brown Gravy Mix and water packet calls for to gravy in
skillet.
Then pour the gravy over the meat patties and cooked on low for at least 3 hours. You could also bake in oven at 350 for about 30 minutes.
Cornbread
1 cup Yellow Corn Meal
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup milk
2 eggs
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, salt and baking powder in a mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, combine oil, eggs, and milk. Using a wire whip, add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients until batter is uniform. The batter will be slightly lumpy. Pour batter into a greased 9×9 pan and bake for 24-28 minutes.
Mashed potatoes:
8-10 russet potatoes
salt
black pepper
2 tablespoons mayo
1/2 stick of butter
1/4 cup milk
Wash, peel, and cut up potatoes. Boil until tender. Transfer to a large bowl and add in all other ingredients. Mash and stir until everything is combined.
