Hope you all had a fantastic holiday and Happy New Year!

On today's video, I wanted to explore this cute and busy fishing village called Nazare. It is located 30 minutes north of Caldas in the district of Leiria. It's a rather sizable town with a population of nearly 15,000 residents.

Nazare consists of 3 areas- Sitio which is the oldest part of Nazare, Praia which is the newer part that offers calmer waters and Pederneira which is another older village that is also on a hilltop. In this video, I'll be walking you around Sitio and the Praia, both offering amazing views.

I found this town to be a mixture of a vacation spot and a town you can live in on a daily basis. Normally vacation areas tend to close during the winter season, but Nazare was bustling around with both locals and tourists. We watched cars lined up along the Sitio area to watch surfers. After scarfing down the delicious food from the local food trucks, the family went down to the Praia area to enjoy the outdoor playground.

*disclaimer- I did say there were 100 meter waves, but I was wrong! I meant to say 100ft and or 30 meters

☀️ Weather
Nazare îs known for their warm/dry summers and wet, but mild winters. Summers range from 61-67 degrees F or 18-20 degrees Celsius
Winters range from 51-56 degrees F or 11-14 degrees Celsius
