Meerut (UP), Jan 02 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the Major Dhyan Chand Sports University in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh on January 02. Speaking at the event, PM Modi said, “In the earlier governments, criminals and mafia used to play their game in UP. Earlier, those who made remarks on the daughters used to roam freely. People in and around Meerut cannot forget that earlier their houses were burnt. People were forced to leave their ancestral home and migrate. Now Yogi Adityanath's government is playing jail-jail with such criminals. Five years ago, the daughters of the same Meerut were afraid to leave their homes after dusk. Today the daughters of Meerut are bringing laurels to the entire country. (JA)
