Some parents send their children to counselors to say the things they want them to say and then pay the Counselor to come and repeat those statements at trial. And that’s why Counselors are treated like highly paid hearsay machines.
When you go to trial, you can’t repeat everything your child said because what the child said outside of court is hearsay.
However, there is an exception to the hearsay rule for Statements Made for Medical Diagnosis or Treatment.
