A wedding took place in Cana of Galilee, and Jesus, His disciples, and His mother were there. When the wine ran out, His mother said to Him, "They have no wine." Jesus replied, "Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come." She told the servants, "Do whatever He tells you." Six stone waterpots for Jewish purification, each holding 20-30 gallons, were nearby. Jesus instructed, "Fill the waterpots with water," and they filled them to the brim. Then He said, "Draw some out and take it to the master of the feast." The master, unaware the water had been turned into wine, praised the bridegroom, saying, "Most serve the best wine first, but you have saved the best until now!"
