Jackfruit Kofta Curry | Kathal Kofta Curry | Jackfruit Recipe | कटहल कोफता करी | Raw Jackfruit Curry
These crispy and flavorful koftas are made with jackfruit and the gravy is a simple onion base, thickened slightly with cashew and a splash of clarified butter to enhance the curry and if you feel a little indulgent. The koftas can be prepped and refrigerated the day before and can be fried just before serving.
For the Koftas:
250gms green jackfruit boiled
1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped
2 tbsp gram flour/besan
Salt, to taste
For the Gravy:
2 medium onion cubes
8-10 cloves garlic
3-4 thin slices ginger
10-12pcs cashew
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp Sugar
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
2-3 bay leaf
2 cardamom pods
2-inch piece cinnamon stick
4-6 pcs cloves
Salt, to taste
1 tbsp Clarified Butter
1 tbsp Kasuri Methi powder
