Dream comes true!! Getting success in train operations in MRVC, Mumbai; the latest sensation,BOMBARDIER EMUs stepped into Eastern India.
In recent times, South Eastern Railway has been allotted 6 such 3-phaser EMU rakes (4 are already here, 2 are in transit) built by ICF, Perambur in association with MEDHA SERVO DRIVES Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad. After few trial runs, today, one of those rakes got inaugurated for commercial run at Howrah Railway station around 1pm by respected railway officers.

#Salient Features :
1.Stainless Steel Rake
2. Full coach arrangement in Mumbai Model , Less area covered for Motors without disturbing the path for movement of passengers
3.Driving coach is a normal trailer coach .
4. Each compartment fitted with blower unit to give passengers more comfort by providing fresh air in crowdy situation.
5.State of Art Design interior , and comfortable SS seats .
6. Provision for GPS based real-time IVRS .
7. Air Suspension Brake fitted , jerk Free rake.
#Interior:
1.Carpentry work in new SS 3PH EMU almost null , as total furnishing made with fibre and Stainless Steel .
2.All the plastic hand brackets replaced by Stainless Steel hand brackets .
3.Wooden seats replaced by Stainless steel seats .
4.For extra safety net has been using in SS EMU's window pane.
5.Full LED lights are using in SS EMU by replacing the fluorescent tubes and double amount of fans are using for giving more comfort in the crowdy situation.
6.To avoid suffocation , two numbers of roof mounted ventilation system invoked in SS Rakes.
7.Modern LED Display and Sound system provided in each compartment for addressing passengers by real time GPS based Passenger Information System .
8.CCTVs are provided in each Ladies Compartment also there will be a provision to talk with motorman and guard at the time of emergency.
