In Florida "child custody" and "visitation" are no longer used. But I used them in my Title because those are the terms most people are familiar with. Since 2011, Florida has used the terms "Parental Responsibility" and "Time-Sharing" to describe the legal arrangements established between parents and their minor child after separation or divorce (Florida uses the term "dissolution" to describe a divorce).
In this video I present a basic overview of the two concepts, examine briefly the controlling Florida Statute 61.13, and take a look at a Parenting Plan which can be used to reduce to writing the Parental Responsibility and Time-Sharing agreement.
