Is it too late to claim the Employee Retention Tax Credit? Absolutely not. The statute of limitations is going to come up on the tax year 2020 on April 15, 2024. As Congress doesn't act or the IRS doesn't shut down the program, you have time. The only real worry that we have here is, with these debt ceiling negotiations that are ongoing, the IRS or the Congress may decide to cut the program in the same fashion that they did with PPP loans. That's not the case as of right now, but that is something we're keeping our eye on. But it's absolutely not too late to file for the Employee Retention Tax Credit. Make sure that your tax situation is analyzed by a professional and that it is correctly filed, so you don't lose out on this money.
