High Risk Medical Assistance Scenarios
The respective Course (particularly 1st week) will be based on NAEMT educational material, respective syllabus, evaluation policies and procedures in general and consists of two parts (two weeks) with different but connected performance objectives.
Upon completion of the 1st week, trainees will be able to construct evidence-based and life-saving tactical combat casualty care knowledge and practical skills in order to improve survivability on the battlefield, based on the newest Co - TCCC (NAEMT) Guidelines for Medical Personnel.
The 2nd part (2nd week) aims to integrate the medical personnel skills and knowledge in performing necessary pre-hospital emergency on-site medical assistance, from the point of injury/illness in the mission /theatre until the final transfer to the closest MTF.
The training will focus on providing medical combat care in maritime operations, taking into consideration that the same medical procedures can be as well applicable within MIO context.
In addition, legal concerns and restrictions of the maritime environment will be discussed.
