Five out of 10 buildings in Kenya are unsafe for occupation. According to research by the National Building Inspectorate Nairobi, Kiambu, and Nakuru County are the worst affected. Engineer’s board of Kenya says it has kicked off a country-wide structural assessment of ongoing building constructions in 8 counties to ascertain the quality of engineering works and services, compliance to standards, and remedial measures.
