Hi guys. For this week’s barbell pump workout, we will be doing an EMOM (every minute on the minute workout). The total body HIIT workout will go for a quick 20 minutes and will allow you to focus on total repetition vs total time per exercise. The workout will be a simple 5 exercise circuit repeated for 4 rounds. The repetitions I’ll be doing for each round will be 8,10,12,12. To target this rep range you can increase or decrease the amount of weight you use or alternatively, you can decide on the amount of repetition based on your fitness level.
I’m using a 20kg barbell with a pair of 10kg bumpers. This is an awesome workout to start the week off and really sets the tone for the rest of the week’s workout. Stay strong and pumping. Enjoy!

EMOM stands for every minute on the minute and basically means for each exercise set you will have a target range of reps to complete within the minute. Once completed, any remaining time within that minute will be your rest time. Depending on your fitness level and total weight load, you can easily adjust the reps to suit your desired intensity. Do anywhere from 8-12 reps per set with a good amount of weights to build strength and muscle.
