Today was EPIC! 🤯 We found a gem in Sedona that is hidden but worth the scavenger hunt to find it! This video shows you how to find Subway Cave in Sedona, AZ 😍 the total hike is 5.5 miles round trip, it took us about 2.5 hours. The maximum elevation is 5,125 ft. and the lowest is 4,493 ft.
Follow the steps below to find it: 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼
1. Start at Boynton Canyon trail head and begin hiking the Boynton Canyon trail
2. At 1.95 (2 miles) you will see an Alligator Juniper Tree (it will be easy to spot, it’s larger than the trees around)
3. Take a right and head into the trail! From the tree it’s about .5 miles to the Subway Cave.
4. The trail is really narrow, rocky, and winding. In the trail you will find a white sign, this means you are on the right track!
5. Keep winding through and you will see the entrance that looks like a large slide to climb up, once at the top, you are there!
I recommend having enough water, some snacks, and the right hiking shoes! Hiking shoes help makes it easy to maneuver up the rock incline and around the cave to the ruins (although my husband wore high top vans and lived 🤦🏻♀️) hopefully this video helps you find the cave! It is definitely something to see 😍😍😍
