I lived just a few miles from Forfar Scotland for several years and I never realized that most people don't know what a Forfar Bridie is!
Forfar is a town in Angus Scotland and it is famous for the Bridie, which is similar to a Cornish Pasty except that it doesn't contain potato or swedes (rutabaga in the US). Scottish Forfar Bridies contain meat, onion, and a few spices wrapped in pastry. A lot of recipes call for either puff pastry or shortcrust pastry. In Forfar and the surrounding area, I have seen puff or flaky pastry the most often.

Forfar Bridie from Global Bakes
One box Store-bought Puff Pastry OR Homemade Puff Pastry
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
2 sheets puff pastry
A white onion
1/4 cup strong beef broth
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon ground mace
2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons butter
Large Egg
Optional ingredients (if you are not worried about a strictly 'traditional' recipe) you can add:
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Mix as shown in the video. Bake at 450 for 30 to 40 minutes. Tent with foil at 20 minutes if they are getting too dark.
