People with mild to moderate COVID-19 can now be treated with a drug that stops their condition from getting worse. Sotrovimab is described as a single-dose, monoclonal antibody treatment. The Health Sciences Authority has granted interim authorisation for the drug under the Pandemic Special Access Route. Dr Michelle Horn, Country Medical Director at GSK Singapore, explained what is a monoclonal antibody, how it works in the body and how effective it is.
