In partnership with the African Canadian Association of Ottawa, the Somerset West Community Health Centre hosted a free family event on June 24th to celebrate Canadian Multiculturalism Day and Canada's 150th Anniversary. MASC's youth group, OTTR performed their two original songs, Crowns and Coming Up, written in collaboration with professional artists: Ricky Nigaglioni, Jamaal Rogers, Nicholas Giurgevich and youth entrepreneur Brandon Komarnicki. Project funded by the US Embassy and TELUS Ottawa Community Board and held in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club and Pathways to Education.
