This video illustrates how to replace the DRL (daytime running light) bulb in a MK 6 generation (2011-2019) Volkswagen Jetta. This particular Jetta is a 2013 (pre-facelift) model.

The LEDs used were purchased from uspmotorsports.com, for about $30, by searching “VW Jetta MK 6 LED DRLs”.

*IMPORTANT*

Please check BEFORE you purchase aftermarket LED bulbs that they fit your EXACT vehicle.

Also, make sure to purchase bulbs that are “error-free”, as some cheaper bulbs WILL throw a warning light in the instrument cluster.

Make sure you “wiggle” the bulb after you have replaced it to make sure it’s properly secure. The bulb may not be perfectly straight. This is alright, particularly with LEDs because they are so bright.
