41 workers who've been trapped in a collapsed mountain tunnel for 17 days are enjoying their freedom, largely thanks to Australian tunnelling expert Arnold Dix.

The men became trapped after the Himalayan mountain they were working in collapsed on November 12, blocking the miners’ only exit with more than 60m of broken rock, concrete and twisted metal.

Until today, the Indian miners had been receiving food, water and oxygen through a 53m pipe, inserted through the debris.
