Vas Vasiliadis, chief customer officer for Globus at the University of Chicago, delivered this webinar. Globus is a widely used platform for research data management among Internet2 members. While many institutions use Globus primarily for reliable file transfer, the platform has evolved to provide a comprehensive set of data management capabilities.
In this online event, we described major enhancements made over the past two years, and demonstrated new features and APIs that support the development of applications in service of research. Topics included the new architecture for Globus Connect Server, support for additional cloud storage systems, services for data search and discovery, and various capabilities for automating large-scale data flows.
