One of our Clients uses a Dell G5 gaming laptop for work using some architecture software that really stresses the device. They mentioned that under any load the fans are really noisy, so we offered to take a look.
Inside all looked normal, however we changed both fans and cleaned the GPU & CPU, re-applying thermal paste and then ran a load of stress testing.
It seems that the issue has been resolved by changing the thermal paste and fans.
Although this is a gaming laptop our client only uses this for work - that's a shame as it comes with a GTX 1660Ti so would be great for some gaming in between all the work!
