The Yatra has started on the occasion of Somvati Amavasya of Jejuri Khandoba Deva, which is known as the holy place and deity of Maharashtra. Lakhs of devotees from all corners of Maharashtra have thronged to Jejuri for darshan of Khanderaya of Jejuri. Amavasya is known as 'Somvati Amavasya' because Amavasya comes on Monday. Khanderaya's jejuri has become so yellow today. Devotees from all corners of the state burst the treasury.
महाराष्ट्राचे श्रध्दास्थान आणि कुलदैवत म्हणून प्रसिध्द असलेल्या जेजुरीच्या (Jejuri) खंडोबा (khandoba) देवाच्या सोमवती (Somvati Amavasya) अमावस्येनिमित्तानं यात्रा सुरु झाली आहे. महाराष्ट्राच्या कानाकोपऱ्यातून लाखो भाविकांनी जेजुरीच्या खंडेरायाच्या दर्शनासाठी जेजुरीत गर्दी केली आहे. सोमवारी अमावस्या येतं असल्यामुळे ही अमावस्या ‘सोमवती अमावस्या’ म्हणून ओळखली जाते.खंडेरायाची जेजुरी आज अशी पिवळीधमक झाली आहे. राज्याच्या कानाकोपऱ्यातून आलेल्या भाविकांनी भंडाऱ्याची उधळण केली.
