Chapter Heads :
00:00 Dynasty vs Democracy: A history
02:36 Family trend in the Congress/70 saal wali party!!
03:58 Has BJP put an end to the “Family Trend”?
09:24 Nepotism in the regional parties :(
Despite being a democracy, the Indian political space has been dominated by certain families and ruling 'dynasts' .... Year after year, we see their numbers rising in both the Centre as well as at the state legislatives. The Congress is held responsible for the genesis of this problem ... #NehruKiGalti (!!) and the BJP/NDA government was hailed as a liberator....a party that will respect only merit.
But has the BJP truly done that?
In this episode of the Deshbhakt, we try to find out whether the conundrum of dynastic politics has indeed been solved by the BJP? What about other regional parties? Are they any better than the Congress when it comes to Nepotism? Could nepotism be one of the reasons why democracy is slowly being throttled in India?
