In today's crochet tutorial I will show you how to crochet this easy crochet baby cardigan sweater, coat or jacket for 6-9M. To make this crochet baby cardigan sweater I used about 176g of DK weight yarn with a 3.5mm hook. You can also make this baby cardigan sweater smaller or bigger by simply changing your hook size and yarn weight. See below. Just remember these sizes are not exact they are approximate since not all babies are the same size and since tensions varies from person to person.

To make smaller or bigger:
0-3M use 2.5mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
3-6M use 3mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
6-9M use 3.5mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
9-12M use 4mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
12-24M use 4.5mm hook with #3, DK or 8ply yarn
2-3Y use 5mm hook with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
4-5Y use 5.5mm hook with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
6-7Y use 6mm hook with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
8-10Y use 6.5mm hook with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
*** When prompted to change hook size just go up or down 1/2 hook size from which ever hook size you started with above or used last.
Yarn used: James C Brett Baby Soft DK (176g total)
and five 14mm buttons
