This hike is in the Angeles National Forest in the San Gabriel Mountains, Southern California. It is a more or less 6 miles out and back and considered strenuous, downhill hike with almost 2,000 feet of elevation difference. Suitable during cooler period but if you want some isolation in the wilderness, this is a great camp even during summer. Although it is inside the wilderness, it does not require permit. parking is located along Angeles Crest Highway 2 and the trail head is across the parking lot, just display your Adventure Pass. This place is over run with bugs and poison oaks and water is almost dry during summer.
Camp Grayskull Crew: Bill, Alan, Mike, Martin, Jennifer & Stephen, Anna & Scott, Matt and myself.
