B. Sc. Cardiac Perfusion Technology (CPT) is an Undergraduate Program offered by Amrita Center for Allied Health Sciences. Cardiovascular perfusion is the science of providing extracorporeal circulation in order to artificially support and temporarily replace a patient's respiratory and circulatory systems.
Allied Health is a term used to describe the broad range of health professionals who are not doctors, dentists or nurses. Allied healthprofessionals aim to prevent, diagnose and treat a range of conditions and illnesses and often work within a multidisciplinary healthteam to provide the best patient outcomes.
This is one college that turn out extremely useful and well trained para medical graduates who support the clinicians in medical colleges, hospitals and clinics not only in India but all over the world. In the hi-tech world of modern health care, the need for a team approach in curing illness and sustaining life is essential and it takes people with varying skills and expertise to make up the team. Advanced complex instrumentation and equipment require technocrats not only to operate but also to care and maintain them as well.
