FAKE VISA RACKET BUSTED, 4 ARRESTED FOR CREATING
FAKE VISA STICKERS AND RESIDENCE CARDS
Chanakya Puri Police Station has busted a fake visa racket, arresting four gang members. The accused were involved in preparing counterfeit visa stickers and temporary residence cards for various countries. 25 passports, 50 fake visa stickers, 5 temporary residence cards, 14 rubber stamps/seals, 4 mobile phones, and 2 pen drives were seized. Equipment used to produce these fraudulent documents, including UV light machines, blank sticker papers, rubber stamps, and seals, were also seized.
INCIDENT:
On 16.12.2024, Lakhveer Singh filed a complaint at Chanakya Puri Police Station reporting therein that he and four friends (Arshdeep Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Rajdeep Singh, and Chhinda Singh) met an individual named Ranvir through Instagram, who offered to secure German visas for them at a cost of Rs. 8 lakhs per person. Ranvir provided them with the Mexican WhatsApp contact number of one Paramjeet Singh. In August 2024, they met Paramjeet Singh, who collected their original passports and a token payment of Rs. 20,000 per person. Subsequently, they paid another instalment of Rs. 1 lakh per person to Paramjeet Singh, totalling Rs. 6 lakhs, for “documentation and formalities.”
On 01.12.2024, Paramjeet Singh sent them a photocopy of Rajdeep Singh’s visa, suggesting that one visa had been obtained and the others would follow shortly. However, when the complainant verified the visa through their contacts/agents, they discovered it to be fake. On 16.12.2024, Paramjeet Singh contacted the applicants to meet for receiving their German visas and paying the remaining balance. On the same day, Lakhveer Singh filed the complaint at Chanakya Puri Police Station.
Thereafter, Paramjeet Singh was apprehended near the Kuwait Embassy in Chanakya Puri, New Delhi. Upon his arrest, five visa stickers, five German temporary residence cards, the five applicants’ passports, and one rubber stamp of the German Embassy were recovered from his possession. Accordingly, case vide FIR No. 198/24, under sections 318(4)/336(3)/340(2)/ 61(2) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita was registered at Chanakya Puri Police Station and investigation was taken up.
TEAM, INVESTIGATION AND ARREST:
Owing to the gravity of the offence and to apprehend other members of the racket, a dedicated team led by Inspr. Balihar Singh, SHO/Chanakya Puri and consisting of SI Praveen Yadav, SI Surajbhan, SI Subhash, ASI Sunil, HC Rajesh, HC Alam, Ct. Gopesh & Ct. Naveen was formed. The team functioned under the close supervision of Ms. Arti Sharma, ACP/Chanakya Puri.
Initial investigation revealed Paramjeet Singh’s prior involvement in similar cases. He claimed to receive fake visa stickers from unknown TSR drivers at Gurudwara Bangla Sahib and communicated with suppliers only Mahinder Park Chowk, Rani Gurudwara Bangla Sahib.
Paramjeet Singh @ Sahil (25 years), son of Ram Dass, resident of District Rupnagar, Punjab. He is a B.BA. graduate and had begun working as a visa agent in Punjab in 2021. Due to financial constraints, he connected with other agents involved in similar illegal activities and was arrested in a similar case at PS IGI Airport in 2022. He is previously involved in the following cases:

Tajiender Singh @ Sweety @ Lucky (51 years), son of Swarn Singh, resident of Shakur Basti, Delhi. He has studied upto 9th class and had been arrested in 2008. He met Paramjeet Singh in 2023 and started working as middleman for arranging fake visa stickers for getting easy money. He is previously involved in the following cases:

Sunil Kumar Sood (67 years), son of Aatm Gyan Sood, resident of Subhash Nagar, Delhi. He has a B. Com. degree and was first arrested in 2003 in a Visa Fraud case. In 2018, he started working as a middleman for arranging fake visa stickers to earn money and came in contact with Tajender Singh. He is previously involved in case FIR No. 222/03, u/s 420/468/471 IPC, PS Chanakya Puri.
Uday Pal Singh @ Raja @ Sonu (42 years), son of Trilok Singh, resident of Vikaspuri Extension, Delhi. He has studied upto 12th class. He has a small printing press unit at his residence but began producing counterfeit visa stickers as a means of quick profit and came in contact with Sunil Kumar Sood.

Further investigation of the case is underway.
