This video will show you how I fixed my garage door from opening by itself seemingly randomly. My Lift master garage door would just open up late at night and in the morning without me telling it to.

What happened was that we programmed new remotes to the garage door opener and while we were doing that coincidentally someone else in our neighborhood got home and pressed their remote to open their garage door while ours was in a learn state. So it programmed their opener to our garage, so every time they got home they opened our garage door.

This problem could also be cause by a bad garage door remote clicking when you aren't pressing the button.
In this case clear the codes like I show in the video then program a different remote and see if you are still having an issue.

By a short in the button that opens it on the wall.
In this case look at the opener itself and see if any wires are close to touching or touching. then look at the button on the wall and check for the same thing.
