These are things you want to consider when buying and purchasing your first Dyna stunt bike. Depending on your size and preferences you may want to choose one over the other. In this video we discuss the differences between the two and how it may affect your wheelies.

Early model Dyna motorcycles refer to those produced before the significant updates introduced in the 2006 model year. These earlier Dyna models, such as the FXD and FXDL, featured a traditional twin-shock rear suspension setup and a narrower front end design. They were known for their classic styling and robust performance.

On the other hand, later model Dyna motorcycles, starting from the 2006 model year and onwards, underwent substantial changes. The most significant update was the introduction of the Dyna chassis with a new frame design called the "Twin Cam" frame. This new frame incorporated a wider and beefier appearance, accommodating a wider rear tire and a stiffer, more advanced suspension system, including a hidden rear shock absorber setup.

The later model Dynas also received improvements in engine performance and technology. The Twin Cam engines were enhanced for increased power output and smoother operation, and electronic fuel injection (EFI) became standard on most models. Additionally, improvements in braking systems, ergonomics, and overall refinement were implemented.

In summary, the main differences between early model Dyna motorcycles and later model Dyna motorcycles lie in the chassis design, suspension system, engine performance, and technological advancements. The later models generally offer improved handling, enhanced power, and updated features compared to their earlier counterparts.
