In the first chapter of The Princess of Vandan: The Sword of Revenge, we meet an old enemy believed to be dead at a tavern far away. Bargar can't stop thinking of getting revenge on Valerie for breaking his bones and ending his criminal empire. He is then introduced to a conjuror named Shalmat who promises to quench his thirst for revenge by helping him enter the Vandan castle.

Meanwhile, Valerie (voiced by Goddess of Desire) is planting flowers around the newly built school with her new friend, Alenia, a medicine woman from the land of Troian. She warns the giant princess to be mindful of dangers ahead. And Alban has been personally training villagers to become royal guards.
