On June 22-23, 2019 Milwaukee Road S-3 class 4-8-4 "Northern" #261 ran 2 day trips on the Twin Cities and Western Railroad to South Dakota and back on the 22nd and to Winthrop, MN and back and both runs featured the groups recently acquired (at the time) Ex-Milwaukee Road E9-A 32A still painted as Wisconsin and Southern 101 with 261 powering the train on the outbound leg of the trip with 32A/101 powering the train on the return leg of the trip. It was my first opportunity to ride behind this engine since 2002 since I just couldn't find the time to ride behind it before due to work or other plans. I took the Sunday train as I had to work the day before, and we stopped in the small town of Hamburg, MN for a photo run by. They made 2 passes this is the first one and the second had the train stop with the 2 coaches, Winona and Nakomis at the front of the train next to me to pick every one up to continue on our way to Winthrop.
