Thousands of party-goers in Spain have pelted each other with tons of over-ripe tomatoes. The epic food fight is known as La Tomatina festival. It takes place annually on the last Wednesday of August. Organisers hope it will send a message of defiance to terrorists following the attacks in Catalonia earlier this month.
